What a special weekend for the Virginia wrestling program! The team finished 15th in the country and boasted TWO NCAA All-Americans. Jack Mueller was the first wrestler in program history to clinch All-American honors as a true freshman, while George DiCamillo was just the third NCAA finalist ever from UVa. Jack also was awarded by the NCAA as the wrestler with the most tech-falls, with 12 throughout this season. Both these guys will be working our camps this year and who better to learn from than two guys lighting up the record books! Virginia senior George DiCamillo matched the best individual finish in program history, finishing as runner-up at 141 pounds in the NCAA Championships on Saturday.

UVA Wrestling goes into the ACC Championships this Saturday with high hopes, as three wrestlers earn byes in the first round of action. The cavaliers are looking to capitalize on one of the best schedules in program history. George DiCamillo goes into the ACC Championships seeking his 4th title in as many attempts, as he looks to lead the Cavalier contingent to a team championship as well.

In 2015, Steve Garland and his team took a commanding hold of the ACC Conference Championship and brought the team trophy back to Charlottesville for the first time since 2010. The coaches are priming the team as they look to peak at the right time and perform to the best of their ability.
