Our story begins in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, wh

ere six incredible women changed the world. Led by Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, our founders formed The Adelphean Society for “the mental, moral, social, and domestic improvement of its members.” The Adelphean Society, later renamed Alpha Delta Pi, was the first secret society for college women. The principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service guide over 215,000 women in more than 140 active collegiate chapters and over 150 alumnae associations of Alpha Delta Pi.

“I absolutely fell in love with ADPi from the moment I stepped into the ADPalace during rush. I rushed on a whim and did not think that people who looked like me could be a “sorority girl.” My expectations were completely flipped on its axis and transformed. I am constantly embraced by girl’s girls who are ambitious, hilarious, inclusive, and most of all — kind-hearted. These women make me feel so loved and uplift me into a more adventurous, authentic version of myself. I love spotting unlocked characters across Grounds, studying at the library, or cooking in my discussions. I am especially grateful for my fam (Ritika and Ellie), my touse girls (all 6 or 7 of you), my future roomie (Bridget Butler) and ISC! I am super honored to be your sister of the week, BOOM BOOM!”

“Hi I’m Stella! I am in AC 26 and although I have only been part of ADPi for a few months, every moment I have felt so welcomed and loved. Before coming to UVA, I wasn’t always sure if being in a sorority was for me but I am so happy I decided to rush because ADPi has added so much joy to second semester. I absolutely love ADPi and all of my sisters — everyone I have met is so kind, motivated, and passionate about the things they are involved in and outside of ADPi. I couldn’t ask for a better sorority or group of girls to constantly laugh with 💙Boom Boom!!”
