As another academic year comes to a close, the UTC Center for Global Education would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all graduating students — especially our international students, study abroad participants, and globally engaged students who have helped make our campus community stronger, more diverse, and more connected to the world.

To our international graduates: thank you for sharing your cultures, perspectives, languages, and stories with the UTC community. Your resilience, courage, and global outlook have enriched our campus in countless ways, and we are proud to have been part of your journey.

To our study abroad students: thank you for stepping beyond your comfort zones, embracing new experiences, and representing UTC around the world. We hope your international experiences continue to shape the way you lead, learn, and connect with others for years to come.

And to all UTC graduates: congratulations on this important milestone. Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication have brought you to this moment, and we look forward to seeing the impact you will make in your communities and around the globe.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to CGE staff, the faculty, staff, advisors, mentors, and campus partners across UTC who continue to support global education and student success every day. Your guidance, encouragement, and commitment make these transformational experiences possible.

Meet Ansley Barry, one of our graduating student workers!

We’re incredibly proud of her as she completes her undergraduate degree with a triple major in Communications, French, and International Studies.

During her time at UTC, she has spent a semester studying in Grenoble, France and a summer studying in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Additionally, she has been a part of our office for two years and served as an international orientation leader.

This fall, she will be starting a master's in Ecological Transition, Risks and Governance at the Sciences Po in Paris, France.

Congratulations, Ansley! We are so excited to see all that you accomplish!

Congratulations to our student worker, CJ Johnson, as he prepares to graduate with a degree in English Literature this May!

After studying abroad in Lyon, France and Stirling, Scotland during his undergraduate years, CJ felt inspired to go back to Scotland and pursue a Master’s in Literature Publishing Studies at the University of Stirling.

CJ, we have been so lucky to have you as a part of our team for the past 2 years and can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you!

HOLA (Hispanic Outreach Leadership Association) invites you to Latin Dance Night this Friday, April 24th from 7:00–9:00 PM at Chamberlain Field.

Enjoy tacos, aguas frescas, desserts, a live DJ, and fun activities as we celebrate the end of the year together.

This role is at the heart of our global engagement efforts—working directly with students to explore study abroad opportunities, supporting faculty-led programs, and helping advance our institutional vision to expand access to international education.

At UTC, we are deeply committed to growing participation in global learning and building pathways for students to develop intercultural competence and global perspectives. We also have an amazing team and strong professional development opportunities—making this a great place to grow and make an impact.
