UTC ASCE

UTC ASCE UTC's ASCE student chapter is a student-run organization that seeks to enhance students' knowledge of civil engineering through hands-on activities.

UTC's American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter has been successful in providing students with an opportunity to expand on the knowledge they gain in the classroom. It allows them to partake in hands-on projects that are comparable to real world situations and experiences. In addition to projects, students can further excel in the field of civil engineering through their attendanc

e and participation in workshops, conferences, meetings, etc.

We’re incredibly grateful to Cooper Steel for their generous donation of materials and their continued support of our Steel Bridge team. Thank you as well for hosting our team for a tour of your shop. It was a great opportunity to see the process firsthand and learn more about the industry we’re preparing to enter.
We’d also like to recognize the team members who took time out of their day to prepare and present our bridge design and current progress: Arturo, Ryan Longley, and Emily Mullan. A special thank you to our advisor, Chris, for helping coordinate the visit and arranging transportation for the trip.
Experiences like this provide valuable insight and make a meaningful impact on our team as we continue working toward this year’s competition.
