This spring, UTC completed the installation of 52 ONEbox naloxone stations across campus, placing them in buildings alongside other emergency equipment such as automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

The expansion builds on years of work around overdose response education, naloxone distribution and addiction support. It also reflects a broader effort to ensure the campus is prepared to respond to emergencies with tools that are visible, accessible and easy to use.

Research can change the way students see their future.

For UTC graduate research assistant Mimi White, it sparked a passion for geospatial science, led to published work with Esri and gave her the opportunity to help shape the Chattanooga Tree Project, an initiative working to plant 5,000 trees across the city.

Now pursuing a master's degree in environmental science, White says research helped bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world.

The path to college starts long before senior year.

Through UTC's Middle School to Mocs Scholars initiative, Hamilton County eighth-graders are encouraged to see higher education as part of their future. This year, UTC faculty and staff joined promotion ceremonies across the county to celebrate students and welcome them to UTC upon their future high school graduation.

It's one small way we're helping students see what's possible. ๐Ÿ’™

Two years ago, Menekse Adar moved from Tรผrkiye to Chattanooga to pursue her graduate degree at UTC.

This spring, she graduated with a master's degree in engineering management, earned a National Science Foundation travel award to present her research at a prestigious national conference and accepted a position as a machine learning and AI operations engineer.

Her journey is a powerful example of where curiosity, hard work and opportunity can lead.

"My whole goal when I entered college was to experience everything I could, as much as possible."

For UTC graduate Vanee Patel, that meant leading student organizations, completing internships, running a photography business and helping build community on campus.
