Hello, EWU School Psyc alumni and current students!

We hope to see you at Old Stove Brewing @ Pike Place 1901 Western Ave., Ste. A, Seattle, WA 98101 on Wed, 2/19 at 5:30. We do not have reservations, but their venue has lots of space and room to extend to other locations nearby. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Feel free to bring others and also connect with former students you know (in case we missed somebody with old contacts).

For those of you who are in Washington State, we also encourage you to attend the WSASP sweet treat social on Thursday at 7:00 pm. You do need to RSVP for that. See the 2/11 Prior Written Notice or email Dr. Ruby for the link.

The EdS School Psychology Program is thrilled to share we have received Full Accreditation through 2029 from the National Association of School Psychologists! This includes our entire program – all tracks, online and hybrid. We are incredibly appreciative of our administration, Professional Educator Advisory Board, Field Supervisors, WSASP, current and past students, and of course our amazing faculty for their contributions to this program and the entire accreditation process. It is our understanding that we have become the first online program to achieve full accreditation through NASP, an accomplishment we could not have achieved without a true team effort. We look forward to continuing to deliver an amazing and NASP-approved School Psychology Program for years to come!

Happy Giving Tuesday! We hope that you experienced a safe and restful Thanksgiving!

Here at EWU, we've been working to establish scholarship opportunities for our students. We appreciate the Washington State Association of School Psychologists who initially established this scholarship fund for us.

We now have an option for you to select the School Psychology Scholarship fund. As you are looking at end of the year giving or considering a monthly donation to give back, please consider contributing to our scholarship fund. Our faculty will meet each year to award funds to highly dedicated students in need who plan to work as school psychologists in Washington State upon graduation. Hello former students and friends!! We hope that you are staying safe and enjoying summer!

I’ve talked to several of you lately and learned that districts have positions open. Feel free to share openings on our site!

We would also love to hear about resources and plans to support students as schools plan to cautiously reopen this fall!

We are doing well here at EWU! We have 36 new online and 16 hybrid students starting this summer. We were not able to have on campus classes this summer, but we will be offering the new PREPaRE 3rd Edition ONLINE this fall. This is the perfect time to encourage participation in PREPaRE as we look to support psychological and physical safety amid COVID 19. We’ll be posting more information soon!!

Hello Friends of EWU School Psychology! We are establishing this site as a way to connect former students and to keep you informed about what is going on with EWU School Psychology and within our region. Feel free to post updates about your practice and to make recommendations to us for ways to use the page. We will eventually create some closed groups for former students. This page is intended to reach a wider audience. Hope you are all staying well and safe as we go through this crazy time in our lives with COVID-19.

We are hoping to offer PREPaRE 3rd Edition this summer, June 21st - 23rd. However, if travel restrictions are in place, we'll postpoine this to summer. Stay tuned if you are interested!
