Work that matters, in a city worth caring about, at a newsroom you'd literally co-own — and one Spokane can't afford to lose.

For six years, RANGE has done accountability journalism for the Inland Northwest, fueled by compassion, dogged reporting, moral clarity and a fiercely loyal community. Oh, and a lot of grant funding.

To fully grow to become a newsroom for all of Spokane, though, we cannot rely on philanthropy forever. We need to be majority-funded by Spokanites.

That's why RANGE is hiring its first-ever Membership & Marketing Manager — to build the membership and marketing engine that will keep our independent, accountability journalism free to read in the Inland Northwest.

Roughly 60% membership, 20% marketing, 20% keeping the business side on track. After a 90-day vesting period you own a share of the co-op and a vote in how it's run. Spokane, in person. $60–68k, profit share, real benefits. Relocation help up to $2,000.

You don't need a journalism degree. You need to love community, care about Spokane (or be ready to fall hard for it), and be the kind of organized we — lovingly, chaotically — are not.

Priority deadline: June 12. Apply: http://rangehiring.netlify.app

This past week, our PRSSA faculty advisor Jessica Boyer, President Mia Blomgren and Vice President Emma Prophet had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York City to attend the “From the Island to the Industry” Tri-State District Conference hosted by Hofstra University’s PRSSA chapter. This conference gave students firsthand insight from working New York City professionals in PR and was a productive space to ask questions, engage in educational discussions and learn more about PR careers and opportunities. Additionally, our very own faculty advisor, Jessica Boyer, presented on her impressive experiences working in Entertainment PR and provided helpful tips for students who are breaking into the PR industry.🌟

Thank you to the incredible PRSSA students and faculty who put together this impressive conference!✨
