Washington College Writing Center We're a place where you can have a conversation with someone about your writing. Make an appointment with us TODAY!

At the Writing Center, you can meet face-to-face with one of our many peer writing consultants to get specific, helpful feedback on your work. You'll also have a chance to think--and talk--your way through whatever concerns you have about your assignment. In the process, you'll discover some new ideas, learn a bit about how writing works, and find strategies for improving your present draft. Our p

eer consultants are experienced, knowledgeable students who know how to work with other writers, so you can be sure that you'll leave the Center feeling confident in what you've accomplished. Each time you visit us, we hope you'll feel sure that you've made another step toward achieving your goals as a student and a writer.

Have you worked online this spring with tutor Kaitlin? If so, you’ve had an international meeting! Kaitlin is tutoring virtually this spring as she studies abroad in Leiden, in the Netherlands.

Here’s Kaitlin on her experience: “Study abroad has been an absolutely fantastic experience so far. It’s definitely been more school work than I think some other programs have, but Leiden has such a fantastic educational program that the work has been so rewarding for the rest of my education. And I still have time to travel in between essays! I was able to travel to Ireland for St. Patrick’s Day and saw a rainbow, which was just magical. If anyone is considering study abroad, I highly recommend the experience (and Leiden!)”
