This page provides emergency preparedness information, connects users directly to the Office of Emergency Management staff, and is a secondary source for emergency alert information for members of the Boston College community. The Boston College Office of Emergency Management is committed to administering a comprehensive preparedness and emergency management program encompassing the University com
munity. While damage and destruction cannot be prevented during an emergency, the Office of Emergency Management incorporates and coordinates all of the resources, facilities, and personnel of Boston College into an efficient organization capable of responding to any emergency. We encourage all BC students, faculty, and staff to continue their ongoing efforts in emergency preparedness to enhance the University's capability to respond to and recover from emergency situations.

While the Boston College Office of Emergency Management page reposts BC emergency notification messages, it is not considered to be a primary method by which alerts and warnings are disseminated. This is considered to be an informational tool and a secondary source of information in an emergency, not a primary emergency broadcast method. Students, faculty and staff of Boston College should depend on the primary emergency alert delivery methods listed at www.bc.edu/emergency/communications.html. In addition to emergency information, BC Emergency Management uses the page to disseminate other non-emergency, safety-related information and to promote disaster preparedness education.
