PSC TRiO SSS A grant funded program that provides academic support to first generation, low income and students w Student Support Services is grant funded by the U.S.

TRiO Student Support Services programs were originally created from the Higher Education Act of 1965 and designed to assist those students who are low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled. Through the provision of intrusive and more personalized ancillary services, this program is able to provide mentoring, build academic and social networks, and facilitate the transfer process to four-year c

olleges and universities. Department of Education at $220,000 annually and will provide services to 160 eligible Prairie State College students beginning in the spring 2011 semester.

We encourage your participation according to your TRIO SSS Scholar Participation Agreement. Keep in mind, these co-curricular activities are designed to better position our participants to leverage their educational experience and overall success by offering access, engagement, and motivation.
