Her favorite part about being in the Academy is the doors that it has opened for her and meeting like-minded people with similar aspirations. The best part about studying at DePaul for Molly, has been being able to work with the diverse group of students on campus who help to foster new ideas and help each other learn. Molly shared that the best advice she has been given during her studies is to trust the process and not be afraid to ask for help when you are struggling.

Molly’s favorite movie is Tommy Boy, Chris Farly is her favorite, she loves to watch it when she needs a laugh. Meet Keeley Academy student, Julia Zuzinski, second year finance major and accounting minor, from Geneva, IL. Julia chose finance because she has always been skilled in math, but she wanted to use these skills in a more applied way that would allow her to work in a corporate environment. Her favorite part about being in the Academy has been meeting people with similar goals and being with like minded students who push and support her to work hard. The best part about studying at DePaul for Julia has been the small class sizes. She has really benefited from knowing the people in her classes and being able to easily communicate with her professors, which is something she knew she would not be able to get in a big lecture hall. The best piece of advice she has been given is to have hobbies outside of school. This has helped her a great deal, and has allowed for her to take her mind off of her work and not base her self-worth off of her performance in school.

Julia’s favorite movie is La La Land, it’s a fun movie with really great music. When she wants to relax she normally takes some time away from the city and visits her family. Going home has been a great way for her to destress and reconnect with her family. Over the summer Julia will be working at Huntington Bank as a treasury management intern. Her best advice for other finance students is to get involved with as many student organizations as you can. It is a great way to meet new people and find out about different opportunities in finance and at DePaul! Good luck with your studies, Julia and enjoy your summer!

Dylan’s favorite part of being in the academy has been getting to know his fellow cohort members and learning more about the different careers within the finance industry. His favorite part about studying at DePaul has been the contrasting feel between the Lincoln Park, which has more of a college town feel to it, and the Loop campus.
