One of the most advanced birthing simulators on the market has just arrived on campus.🤰

Meet MamaAnne, the newest addition to North Park’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Arriving on June 1, this high-tech mannequin will give our BSN and Direct Entry MSN students unmatched hands-on education by closely mimicking human responses, such as blinking, reactive pupils, and a fully programmable delivery sequence, to name a few.

To reflect NPU’s deep commitment to diversity and cultural competency in clinical training, the director of simulation education, Niki Nielsen, intentionally selected a dark skin tone for MamaAnne to complement our SimNewB infant mannequin.

Having a favorite clothing item get damaged is one of the worst feelings ever, and it's even worse when you have to throw it out. But what if we told you that an NPU alumna is changing that mindset? 🧵🪡

Marijke Stob BA ’12 is the owner of Super Bloom Gear Repair, a small business dedicated to salvaging damaged clothing. She even tackles repairs that seem impossible, like dog rips.
