ResU UNA is spreading awareness for and remembering this week as World Su***de Prevention Week. According to National Su***de Prevention for Life, 800,000 individuals die by su***de making it the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. Su***de can affect anyone regardless of their race, age, gender, sexuality, religion or socioeconomic status.
Not just this week, but every week we should strive to break the stigma and discuss mental health with our loved ones. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, we encourage you to seek out treatment.
