The Commonwealth Students’ Association is a Registered Student Organization on campus that promotes the shared culture, history, and contemporary affairs of the Commonwealth of Nations. We provide an environment for international students from Commonwealth countries to showcase the culture and tradition of their respective countries within a largely American student body. As such, we are intereste

Happy Holidays from the UChicago Commonwealth Students' Association!

Take a moment to listen to the Queen's Christmas message to the Commonwealth and those around the world, in which Her Majesty reflects on the year past. No matter our religious beliefs or traditions, we can all benefit from introspection and reflection at the year's end, so that we may grow and improve for the year to come.

Happy Commonwealth Day!

Commonwealth Day has been celebrated around The Commonwealth, on the second Monday in March, every year since the 1970s. Today, Westminster Abbey will host the Commonwealth Service, the UK's largest multi-faith celebration which takes place annually on Commonwealth Day. The day is an opportunity to promote understanding on global issues, international co-operation and Commonwealth values.

The Commonwealth theme for 2016 is 'An Inclusive Commonwealth', celebrating the immense diversity of over 2 billion citizens across the Commonwealth of Nations. This years service will invite citizens to consider what it means to live in a diverse yet equitable, fair and tolerant international community.
