We are so excited to share the Latino Law Student Association (LLSA)’s crowdfunding campaign for theĀ 23rd annualĀ Illinois Latino Law Student Association (ILLSA) Forum!

The ILLSA Forum is a vital pipeline event, offering Latino high school students, college students, and recent graduates an incredibleĀ FREE, all-day program designed to introduce them to the legal profession. Through engaging discussions with Latino attorneys and judges, interactive panels with current law students and professors, and a law school fair featuring admissions representatives, we’re tackling the underrepresentation of Latinos in law by creating a space where information is accessible and questions can be asked without hesitation.

We’re proud to share that we’ve already reached our initial fundraising goal, but the efforts don’t stop there. The Forum is entirely student-run, powered by our own commitment, vision, and the generosity of supporters. The reality is simple: the Forum is only as successful as the resources we can access.
Every additional contribution goes directly into creating opportunities for Latino students and future attorneys.

In a moment where access and representation in the legal field are under attack, this Forum demonstrates what’s possible when students take the lead in building the spaces our communities deserve. Your support helps us keep that legacy alive!

This initiative is only possible through the generosity of donors like you. Your contribution is an investment in the future generation of Latino success in law. Thank you for your support in helping us create lasting change!

Hispanic Heritage Month Reception 2025!!

We had the immense honor of hosting Carlos Jimenez, the Jimenez family and family friends to honor the late Judge Julio Jimenez (JD ā€˜77) as we added his portrait to the law school’s hall of judges. Carlos’s words on the life and legacy of his father, the American dream, and the value immigrants bring to our country resonated with us deeply. He highlighted how now, more than ever, we must stand together in support of our community. It is so exciting for us to have another Latino judge’s portrait on the wall to inspire us everyday.

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to chat with so many of our DePaul Law Alumni, including many of Judge Jimenez’s classmates from the Class of 1977. It was a very welcomed reminder of everything our vibrant community has to offer and the work we have yet to do. A heartfelt thank you to those of you who attended, it means the world to us! We hope to have just as incredible of an event next year!

Thank you everyone who played and came to cheer on our LLSA soccer team! We hope to see you next year! āš½ļø
