Good to see adjunct faculty getting attention!

Raise your hand if you're contingent faculty and make less than $5,000 per course ✋ Unfortunately, we hear from folks all the time who are making closer to $3,000, and as low as $1,500 per course 😡

The coronavirus has thrown the higher education industry into uncertainty, but it’s been especially cruel to the thousands of part-time professors undergirding New England’s colleges and universities.

GEO at auIUC are now in week two of their strike for a fair contract. What is at stake? Tuition waivers for graduate workers! They are now occupying the University presidents office and vow to stay until the administration comes to the table and negotiates in good faith. You can help by sharing this post, calling the UIUC Provost and contributing to their strike fund.

ATTENTION: Members of the CFA and GEO are currently occupying President Killeen's office in the Henry Administration Building. They will occupy the building until we get a fair contract.
