Do you hate Avid? You're not alone!! (actf reference 👀)

Come learn how to use Avid better, learn faster and easier ways to do things so it isn't so scary!! Led by the very experienced Charlie Metcalf, you'll learn so many necessary aspects of the most hated but most necessary NLE!!

This will be NEXT FRIDAY at 3:30 inside the Post Center (6th floor of 1104) room 612! Tell the workers at the desk you're here for Editors Guild and they will lead you back!! We'll see you there!!!

EGC is once again offering the most important meeting of the semester: THE DIT CRASH COURSE 🔥🔥

This will once again be a 3 hour crash course containing a lecture as well as hands on experience with the DIT carts. Attendance at this meeting WILL GRANT YOU ACCESS TO THE DIT CARTS!

Note: We do encourage first time DITers to shadow someone with more experience before DITing on their own

Join us THIS FRIDAY for our first meeting of spring 2026! We will talk about resumes, portfolios, reels, internships, and jobs!! This is really valuable for ALL film majors so be sure to invite your friends!!

Also bring your own resume/portfolio/reel to be critiqued by our amazing E-baord! We can help you with ideas, formatting, or even just where to start!

This is an amazing opportunity to put on your resume, gain experience, and help keep Columbia's longest running club alive!

You must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- must be a full-time student
- must be knowledgeable about post production software and the industry
- must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- must attend our final meeting to be a part of the election process

Join us THIS FRIDAY for our end of semester celebration! We will have food, drinks, and screen finished films or WIP films for feedback! This is the PERFECT opportunity to show off your work from inside the classroom or outside!

ANOTHER POST HOUSE TOUR??? Wow EGC is so cool - everyone said in unison🗣️🗣️

Jokes aside, we have another amazing opportunity to tour a post production house right here in Chicago! Sign up via the link in our bio or scan the QR code. There are limited spots so sign up to reserve your spot! You will receive an email if you are invited on the tour.

The tour will be next Wednesday, November 12 at 3:45 we will meet at 1104 and leave from there!

Our next meeting is next Wednesday November 5th! We will be in the student center room 429. We will discuss classes, professors and help each other plan for spring registration which is right around the corner!

ALSO we will be serving pizza and red bulls so don't miss out! If you already know what you're taking, come and hang out anyway!

Join us at our meeting, NEXT WEDNESDAY (10/22) in 1104 South Wabash, Room 604 where we will be learning the basics of color in Davinci! This will be a great opportunity to learn Davinci color if you were not able to get into Color 1 or if you are interested in coloring your D1 or D2. We look forward to seeing you all there!
