Meet Calling All Contest winner Cesar Huerta!

Cesar Huerta, RN, BSN, MSHI, is a Quality Reporting Analyst at Access Community Health Network. He received 1,240 of 3,740 votes to win the Oak Point University alum category.

In his nomination, Huerta was lauded for helping patients in underserved communities. He is passionate about healthcare improvement and obtained a master’s degree in health informatics. Huerta’s long-term goal is to focus on preventive care and chronic disease management by improving communication in the workplace. He is pursuing additional certifications to support this goal.

“Practicing in a community health care setting has given me the opportunity to use my nursing background to positively impact underserved communities at an individual and population level. In my role, I have been given a platform to continue to be a voice and advocate for those who need it most,” said Huerta.

Cesar wins a badass vacation package for two and will be featured in phase two of our Built to Be Badass campaign. From all of us at Oak Point University, thank you for your countless contributions to our communities. Happy travels!

Assistant Professor Sandra Shawgo, MEd, RT(R)(ARRT), is attending the Missouri Society of Radiology Technologists’ conference in Columbia; Instructors Jennifer Beese, MSRS, RT(R)(ARRT) and Frank McNamara, MSHA, RT(R)(ARRT) are attending the Illinois State Society of Radiologic Technologists’ 87th conference in Bloomington.

They’re spreading the word about our bachelor’s completion program for ARRT-certified rad techs, learning the latest from their peers, and networking with colleagues.
