Roosevelt University Economics Department Roosevelt's economics department continues to be well known for its abiding commitment to diversity and pluralism.

The undergraduate major aims at providing students with a solid understanding of contemporary economics from both traditional and non-traditional points of view. Course offerings regularly include topics addressed to the theory of the market order, the business cycle, social policy, immigration, international trade and development, the economic lives of women, contemporary labor problems, the economics of the public sector, the economics of money and banking, and economic statistics.

The economic value of and domestic labour of all sorts is hard to estimate but not impossible, and it should be factored into household pay and rewarded directly. That so many labour without direct reward is exploitative.
