Delta Epsilon Mu, LLC (DEM) was founded in 1996 at Binghamton University in New York. As a professional organization, DEM integrates professional aspirations, specifically in the health-related fields, social camaraderie, and educational enrichment of its members and community. The brothers and sisters of Delta Epsilon Mu work year-long on various philanthropic projects, professional development,
and social bond-building activities to foster what we fondly term our DEM Family. In the fall semester of 2014, 13 students united to establish Delta Epsilon Mu at the University of Illinois at Chicago. On December 12, the members of the Kappa chapter from the University of Kansas, inducted the founding class into the Psi Chapter of Delta Epsilon Mu. The founding members are: Kristin Abruscato, Mike Durrant, Vickie Eickelberg, Rand Hashim, Magali Jimenez,Vanesha Mistry, Jessica Ojeda, Julian Rincon, Robin Roy, Camelia Saha, Shivam Thakaar, Maharshi Thakkar, Alejandra Zocchi.
