October is Filipino American History Month, a time to honor the history, accomplishments, and the cultural heritage that continues to connect us today 🌺.

The NIU Associate Chapter of alpha Kappa Delta Phi International Sorority, Inc. are proud to recognize the importance of preserving Filipino traditions, embracing cultural identity, and sharing the stories that connect generations. Today, we share the stories from our very own sisters and what they believe it means to be Filipino American.

As this month comes to an end, we encourage everyone to continue celebrating the beauty of Filipino culture and the many ways it enriches our communities! 💛

Let us remember that awareness and advocacy extend beyond a single day or month 🩷.
