Our last event of the year was a successful debrief and debate on the current Supreme Court term! Thanks so much to Supreme Court litigator Jesus Osete and director of Northwestern's Appellate Advocacy Center Prof. Xiao Wang for the insightful discussion to wrap up the semester.

We were joined today by a distinguished Northwestern Law alum, the Honorable Judge John F. Kness of the Northern District of Illinois, for an entertaining and insightful discussion with Prof. Paul Tzur on advocacy at the trial court level. This past Wednesday, March 29, we shared an evening with the amazing professors, students, and staff who helped make our Northwestern Federalist Society chapter so successful this year! Thank you to FedSoc co-founder Steven Calabresi, Chapter President Bailey Cordonnier, and everyone else who participated in an amazing year, including winning the George Washington Innovation Award, being finalists for National Chapter of the Year and the Communications Award, and setting average attendance records for our campus speaking events. Thanks all!

We hosted Dana Berliner of the Institute for Justice for an insightful debate with Northwestern's own Prof. Nadav Shoked on funding mechanisms for local government, a critical issue for conservatives who believe that local control should be paramount in our federal system.
