Loyola Committee on Diversity Affairs - CODA MISSION: To promote and foster an academic community that celebrates and supports diversity in multiple areas of departmental life.

CODA was founded in the mid-1980s as a result of a departmental initiative to support diversity. VISION: “As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Nelson Mandela

GOALS:
-

Promote the inclusion of diversity throughout our curriculum
- Provide support, networking opportunities, and mentoring to students of diverse backgrounds
- Increase and support culturally sensitive research on diversity topics
- Give students experiential learning opportunities that address diversity issues

Stanford SPARQ just released 10 toolkits that use social psychology to help people take on the world's most pressing problems, but the organization isn't alone when it comes to turning science into solutions.
