🌟 Workshop Spotlight: The “Mancave” Returns! 🌟
The Chicago (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is excited to present the “Mancave — Beyond Stereotypes: Building a Legacy of Strength and Care”, a two-part series at our 2026 Mental Health & Wellness Symposium & Black Family Wellness Expo! This unique offering invites participants to reflect, grow, and strengthen their roles within their families and communities.
✨ Challenging Media Narratives that Degrade Women: This session is designed for Black Men and Teen Boys, focusing on building media awareness. Participants will examine how music, film, advertising, and social media often promote narratives that degrade and objectify women. Through guided discussions, attendees will develop critical thinking skills to understand how media shapes attitudes, relationships, and behavior.
✨ Self-Care as Service to Family and Community: This session is exclusively for Black Men, shifting the focus inward to explore self-care as a vital responsibility rather than a weakness. This session emphasizes emotional, mental, and physical well-being as essential to sustaining leadership, connection, and service to family and community.
Together, these workshops encourage accountability, healthier perspectives, and intentional personal growth.
Join us in creating spaces that uplift, empower, and strengthen our community! 💪🏿✨
