I AM A SURVIVOR | SISTER LASHUNDA SHIRLEY

Celebrating one year in remission, Sister LaShunda Shirley, a Silver Star and General Member, shares an important message about the power of early detection and self-advocacy.

Her message to women everywhere: Stay informed. Follow recommended screenings. Be your own advocate and take an active role in your health.

Today, we celebrate Sister LaShunda’s strength, resilience, and commitment to empowering other women through her journey.

I AM A SURVIVOR | SISTER RONNELLA MEANS

Diagnosed in 2021 with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer, sister Ronnella Means credits her faith in God and the support of family, friends, and her medical team for carrying her through her journey.

Her message to women is simple: Don’t delay your mammograms. Prioritize your health.

Through every challenge, Ronnella holds firmly to her faith: “When you give it to God, leave it there. He will see you through.”

From joyful reunions to meaningful moments of reflection, we came together with intention and renewed our focus.
