A lot of yall are missing how to apply content to questions, which is fair because they don’t teach you this in nursing school.

You have to correct self sabotaging behaviors like overthinking by sticking to what’s in the question or using keywords that are related to answer choices.

And true false method doesn’t always work for every Select all that apply either.

Dear Future Nurses,

🗣️ You might not have a studying problem. You may have a TEST-TAKING problem.

I asked 141 nursing students to identify their self-sabotaging study habits.

👀 And look at what they told me:

79.4% said their studying feels all over the place.

73.8% said they second-guess their answers.

62.4% feel overwhelmed.

56% struggle to retain the content.

That tells me something.

You can KNOW the content and still struggle to demonstrate what you know on an exam.

Because test taking requires more than recall.

You have to be able to:
👉🏾 recognize what the question is actually testing
👉🏾 pull out the relevant information
👉🏾 eliminate answers without talking yourself back into them 😂
👉🏾 prioritize when multiple answers sound correct
👉🏾 trust your clinical reasoning instead of second-guessing it

Studying more doesn’t automatically fix those skills.

Sometimes we need to stop adding more CONTENT and start fixing the way we’re approaching the QUESTION. 🎯

That’s exactly what we’re working on inside Test Taking Mastery™.

If you’re tired of saying, “I knew that! Why did I change my answer?!” 😩 - this is for you.
