Congratulations to our 2021 Medieval Studies graduates and the winners of our BA thesis prize, Samual Hebert and Isabella Jackson-Saitz (pictured here with program director Jonathan Lyon)!
Isabella’s thesis is entitled “Above the Urban Crowd: Negotiations of Elite Urban Masculinity in Fourteenth-Century Paris,” while Samual’s boasts the longest title our faculty members have seen yet - "'Good night sweet Prince,' the Rood whispered in its Dream: Christ and the Rood’s suffering without terror, riddle-objects’ dual natures in the Exeter Book, and the case against an anthropocentric reading of Old English Treatments of the Anthropomorphic and Natural domains”!
