We are pleased to welcome Dr. Yingshihan (Shihan) Zhu to the NEIU Philosophy Program! Shihan completed her Ph.D. at the City University of New York. She is a specialist in Social/Political Philosophy, Feminist Philosophy, Ethics, Applied Ethics (Bioethics, Tech & AI Ethics). This fall she’ll be teaching Ethics, Ethics Bowl, and Ethical Theory.

She stopped by the other day in Dr. Goguen's PHIL 213 to play an ethical theory game with current philosophy students. Check out her classes in the fall and sign up today!

This past year we have been delighted by how many NEIU Philosophy Alumni have stopped by campus to visit! One of the most rewarding things for our department is to catch up with alumni and hear about their experiences post graduation. It is immensely rewarding for us to see how they are applying what they learned at NEIU.

Big thanks to Steven Tetzlaff, May 2024 graduate, for visiting us yesterday! Steven served in the National Guard for 8 years and then studied at Oakton College for 2 years. He transferred to NEIU where he began to study philosophy. Steven currently works as Security at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
