Over the past three years, Ronja immersed herself in nearly every aspect of Law School life—from the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic and legal scholarship to student leadership, mentoring incoming students, intramural sports, and even co-directing the 2026 Law School Musical.

Her willingness to explore new interests and embrace new challenges helped shape what she calls “the experience of a lifetime.”

After graduation, Ronja will clerk for Magistrate Judge Beth Jantz of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois before joining Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City.

As members of the Class of 2026 prepare to begin the next chapter of their careers, they’re reflecting on the experiences, mentors, and moments that shaped their time at the Law School.

One of those graduates is Kassidy Mahoney, ’26, whose commitment to public service and pro bono advocacy has defined her three years at UChicago Law.

This fall, Kassidy will join the Cook County Public Defender’s Office after completing nearly 900 hours of pro bono service—the most in her graduating class—and earning the Law School’s 2026 Pro Bono Award of Excellence.

“You’re going to learn a lot about the law,” she advises incoming students, “but throughout the process, and as you go into your career, remember that you have a lot to learn about everything else.”

At the Law School’s Edward H. Levi Distinguished Visiting Jurist Program on May 7, Srinivasan joined Professor David A. Strauss for a lunchtime fireside chat to discuss how being an immigrant shaped his passion for public service, clerking for Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, and his tenure as a judge.
