University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma

University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma The college was founded in 1908 as a women's institution, the first college created by Oklahoma's first legislature.

Celebrating more than a century of service as Oklahoma's only public liberal arts college, the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma – nationally ranked for quality and value – is a recognized leader and innovator in interdisciplinary studies. Like the best private liberal arts colleges, Science & Arts offers small classes, award-winning faculty committed to teaching, and a campus culture that

fosters close faculty-student interaction and undergraduate research opportunities. Science & Arts dedicates itself to educating the whole student, encourages personal development through public service, and offers nationally ranked teams in 13 sports. Science & Arts is one of only seven state institutions with similar missions ever created in the United States. Located in Chickasha, Science & Arts is the only Oklahoma college to be named a National Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

Today President Hale had the honor of meeting third grader Aaleigha Alhamad, she created a beautiful costume and project about one of our most famous alumni, Te Ata. She credits her teacher Ms. Brewer from Grand Ave. Elementary for assigning the project, well done to all! This creative project is such a wonderful way to honor our history.
