Today is Chico State Giving Day! The CHEM department is asking for your generous contributions to help support our Chemistry Summer Research Institute (CSRI) program - students are financially supported for 10 weeks over the summer and get the opportunity to work on independent research projects under the guidance of CHEM faculty. Over the past 10 years funds from our donors have allowed 150 of our students to participate in CSRI, helping them gain experience and confidence in the lab and propel themselves towards a career as a scientist.

How's week one going for all you chemistry and biochemistry students?

Hi from Chico State - my access to the admit database tells me that for Fall 2024, we have 77 admits from PVHS (4 of whom have put down a deposit!) and 91 admits from Chico High (8 of whom have put down a deposit!) Many of the admits are Sam's buddies (including Sam herself!) plus kids of many of my Facebook friends. If you have any questions about Chico State or you would like a private tour just let me know and I'd be happy to show you around, no matter what major!
