Chico State ASME Student Section The Chico State ASME chapter sponsors field trips, guest speakers, and a team of students who enter the Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) Challenge. What is ASME?

Anthroforum/ Astronaut Talk, Feb. 7

The Department of Anthropology and the Valene L. Smith Museum of Anthropology will team up to host Dr. Stephen K. Robinson, a NASA Astronaut for 17 years. February 7 from 4-5pm the Anthroforum will take place in PAC 144. Doors open at 3:30!

Heavy Construction Made Weightless: Building the International Space Station

Dr. Robinson will describe and show spectacular photos of his 4th mission to space, which was the final construction task for the International Space Station in 2010.

Engineers for Alternative Energy (EAE) is a club oriented towards sustainable technologies that hosts club project workshops, tours, and other events.

Upcoming Engineers for Alternative Energy Events, all are welcome:

This Friday, Feb. 8th, meeting @ 6pm-8pm in OCNL 124: Grid Alternatives Orientation. Learn to install solar panels and install them onto low income houses with other Chico students!

Next Friday, Feb. 15th, meeting and leaving @ 1:45pm in the health center parking lot: Tour at the Calusa Generating Station, a new natural gas turbine power plant! Sign up and get ready for this exclusive tour hosted by EAE!

There are several solar panel projects that we are planning on completing by the end of the semester, and could use anybody interested in learning about solar panels and doing some hands on work.
