Welcome to the fall semester, Wildcats!

Last week, we thanked Dr. Eddie Vela for his time as dean of our College and welcomed Dr. Ryan Patten as our interim dean.

Dr. Vela has served as our dean since 2015, after serving as our interim dean for the College in 2013 and associate dean from 2008–15. Eddie became a Chico State Wildcat in 1989 as faculty in the Psychology Department.

Eddie is looking forward to returning to teaching and working with students and campus colleagues.

Dr. Patten has been our associate dean since 2015 and joined our campus community as faculty in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2007.

Ryan is excited about this year and our college's future!
