Chillicothe, Ohio — Ohio State University Extension will host the 2026 Southern Ohio Women in Agriculture Conference on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Bell Manor (750 Musgrove Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601). The conference will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and features a full day of practical education, networking, and hands-on learning.

This year's conference is centered on safety, wellness, and family-friendly farm practices. Participants will explore strategies for staying safe in the sun, navigating farm stress, selecting age appropriate farm tasks for youth, preventing tick-borne illness, and more! Enjoy a delicious lunch provided by Carson Farm House Favorites along with opportunities to connect with sponsors and peers.

Featured Sessions include:
- Block the Burn: Learn how to stay safe while working in the sun with Lisa Barlage, Family and Consumer Science Educator for OSU Extension Ross County.
- Farm Families, Farm Stress, Farm Wellness: Understand how farm life affects health—mentally and physically—and discover practical resources to support you and your family with Susan Rogers with Adena Health.
- From Play to Pay: Kid-Safe Farm Jobs: Explore age appropriate ways children can help with farm chores safely with Dee Jepsen, State Agricultural Safety and Health Leader with Ohio State University.
-Ready, Aim, Extinguish: Learn about how to properly use fire extinguishers to be prepared in the case of an emergency.
- Tick Talk: Get the facts on ticks and learn best practices to protect yourself, your family, and your livestock with Tim McDermott, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator for OSU Extension Franklin County.  - FuFu Flowers: Join Ally Smith with FuFu Flowers for a creative session using flowers grown on her family farm. Participants will create a dried flower arrangement to take home.

The conference does cost $45 to attend and pre-registration is required and can be completed by going to go.osu.edu/womeninagconf.
