APRIL SPOTLIGHT: TIMMY ACKERMAN
———————————
This month, we’re proud to spotlight Timmy Ackerman as our April PIKE of the Month. Timmy is an incoming fourth-year from West Cincinnati, Ohio, and a graduate of Mariemont High School. He joined Pi Kappa Alpha in the Fall of 2023 as part of the Kappa 36 pledge class and has been a standout Brother ever since.
Timmy is a Finance major, and he will be starting a valuations internship at Revantage in Chicago, IL. In fall 2025, Timmy completed his co-op experience at Merus in Cincinnati, OH.
On campus, Timmy is a Linder Ambassador and Men4Mental Health member. He is in the UC Real Estate Association. In PIKE, Timmy has served as Mental Health Chairman and is actively serving as the Professional Development Chairman.
When asked about what brought him to UC, Timmy replied:
“Many people from my hometown overlook going to UC due to its close proximity to home, but I saw all of the great things that UC had to offer in comparison to other schools, including the vast network of like-minded professionals, including active students and Alumni that constantly give back to the University, and the stellar co-op program that has benefited me greatly during my time here.”
When asked about his favorite PIKE memory so far, Timmy recalled:
“Every brotherhood event has provided me with the best memories, because these are the times you are with all of your best friends in the same place, and allows everyone to be themselves, and has brought me closer to so many brothers and has created so many memories that I will always think back and smile about.”
When asked what his advice to first-year students is, Timmy said:
“College is so much different from High School, so utilize the time you have each day as a student, and find the right balance between everything. You only have four years, so say yes to as many things as possible, and take risks you might not have thought about taking, because those decisions will pay off whether you realize it or not.”
Timmy’s drive, character, and commitment to lifting others set the standard of excellence. Grateful to have a brother like him representing PIKE!
