A History of Innovation
Established in 1833, the University of Cincinnati College of Law is the 4th oldest continuously operating law school in the country. Wright of the Ohio Supreme Court, established the Cincinnati Law School, a small law school with 17 students, above a downtown office in a city that was then a frontier outpost. The Cincinnati Law School became a department of the Cincinnati C

ollege in 1835, which gave it the authority to confer degrees. Until 1885, Cincinnati was the only law school in Ohio. Notable Alumni

The Bleznick Tax Fellowship is helping students at UC’s Donald P. Klekamp College of Law turn an interest in tax law into confidence, experience and professional opportunity.

Created by Jordan Bleznick, A&S ’76, the fellowship provides students Isaiah Moshe, A&S ’24, Law ’28, and Sam Florence, Law ’27, with financial support, mentorship, research experience and connections that are preparing them for careers in tax law.

As part of UC Klekamp Law Global Engagement Week 2026, join us for the Lawyers Change the World Speaker Series, presented by Ambassador María Jesús Conde Zabala.

Ambassador Conde’s distinguished career in international law and human rights includes serving as Spain’s Ambassador-at-Large for Feminist Foreign Policy, director of human rights for the Basque government, a UNICEF representative and regional advisor, a professor of sociology of law, and a substitute judge in Bilbao. She is a graduate of both the University of Cincinnati and the University of Deusto, UC’s strategic partner in Spain.
