NKU Ultimate

NKU Ultimate All players of all skills are welcome to join us every Wednesday and Friday from 4-6pm on the Intramural Fields.

It's been quite a while, but after reviewing safety precautions and procedures, NKU Ultimate is finally able to return back to practices! Practices will be on the following days and times:

Wednesday: 3:00pm - 5:30pm
Friday: 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am - 1:00pm

If you're interested in coming out to a practice or joining the club, send me an email at [email protected] and we can have you fill out the necessary forms and review our safety guidelines.

I want to take the time to thank everyone who joined the Ultimate Frisbee Club this year! It has been an amazing first semester after experiencing so much growth. Next semester will hopefully entail more competitions and opportunities for us to improve. In the meantime, I'd like to wish everyone good luck on their finals this week! All of you will do extremely well, I'm sure of it!

Today we had our first official practice of the 2019-2020 school year. We had a lot of new members come out today, reaching our new high number of players at a single practice at 26! Hopefully, the weather clears up next week so we can practice both days.

We had our last practice of the 2018-2019 academic year this past Friday. While the sun may not have been out, everyone was able to have a good time and ease off some of the stress before finals week. It was a memorable day for our seniors who are graduating as they handed the reigns over to the incoming officers who will work together to continue to grow the club. We wish our seniors good luck in their future endeavors!

Today was our fourth and last club outing of the 2018-2019 academic year. This morning we played pickup with some other people in Cincinnati at Linwood park. It was a little less formal than the other competitions we've had, but it was a great time!

We are extremely thrilled to have received the 2019 Top Engagement award in the sports club category! Thank you so much to everyone who has helped this club have a successful year and to Student Engagement for selecting us for this award! We are beyond thrilled with how much the club has grown over the last year and that we have been able to take part in numerous competitions over the course of the year!

Today we had our third competition of the academic year and our first of the semester! We had the pleasure of playing against Xavier University this morning. We played 2 games against them. The first one they beat us 15-5, and the second game they lent us a few team members and narrowly beat us 7-6. It was a very rainy day, but that didn't stop us from having a good old time this morning. A huge thank you goes to the ultimate frisbee club at Xavier for hosting us!

I hope you've managed to endure the extreme cold this week. Thankfully, it's the time of the year that we practice indoors. We will be having ultimate frisbee practice at 2:00 PM today in the indoor MAC gym at the rec center. When you get swiped into the rec center, go straight, and then take a left right before the bouldering wall.
