What a joy for many of our faculty members to celebrate with students last Saturday! Please pray for our graduates as they move on to their callings in life. We'll miss them, but rejoice with them in their accomplishments!

On Saturday, our division's Student Leadership Team organized an enjoyable getaway from campus--an afternoon at Tower Park across the river in Fort Thomas. After a few lively games of spike ball, most of the students played softball while others just enjoyed the beautiful spring weather outside. We even had unexpected guests visit--two baby rabbits!

A week from this Saturday, a group of students and staff from our campus will be traveling to San Angelo, TX to help with rebuilding efforts after the tragic flooding last July. We'll be partnering with Samaritan's Purse, which is organizing the effort.

Here's what happened. On July 4, 2025, rain fell at 12 inches per hour causing the Guadalupe River to rise 26 feet in just 45 minutes. Catastrophic flooding swept through Central Texas causing massive damage and loss of life. For a glimpse of the devastation, watch this short video:

If you'd like to partner with us, would you help us with fuels, food, and lodging costs to and from Texas? Because GBS is providing the transportation and Samaritan's Purse is providing on-site lodging and meals, our expenses are minimal: fuel, food, and lodging while we travel.

Our team includes...
Jessica Smith (faculty),
Phil Rehfeldt (staff),
Kaitlyn Paulus,
Kaitlyn Deets,
Lucas Welch,
Caleb Nelson,
Benjamin Ryan,
Landon Witt,
Nate Witt (staff),
Lyle Witt (faculty).

Tax-deductible donations may be sent via bit.ly/gbsmissions. Please note how you'd like your donation to be used. Any extra donations for a single volunteer or purpose will help with remaining expenses.

Would you also join with us in prayer? Please pray that our team will be a blessing and encouragement to those who've suffered loss, that our efforts will bear fruit not just for now but for eternity, and that we'll remain safe while traveling many miles and serving long hours. We'll appreciate your prayers!

Our faculty and students enjoyed a fall open house this week with tasty treats such as chocolate chip cookies, kettle corn, and homemade apple butter! We also sipped cups of hot coffee and spiced cider while adding to our tree of thanks in the office. Many thanks to those who planned and contributed to this party!

The Division of Professional Studies appreciates the leadership of Dr. Frazier and Dr. Loper, who meet regularly with students interested in counseling. Through programs in our division, students can become licensed substance-abuse counselors while they study counseling and psychology in our BA in Integrative Studies. By the time they graduate, they'll be well equipped to start graduate study, a prerequisite for clinical counseling in all states. We're privileged to equip such students as they pursue callings that'll make such a difference in the kingdom of God!

Our incredible children's ministry group leader, Korin Harms, guided students through the fun (and deliciously messy!) art of building gingerbread houses to prepare for an upcoming event. The best part? One of our students got to create his very first gingerbread house ever – how exciting is that!

Which house do you like the best? Leave a comment!

On Saturday, several students in the Division of Professional Studies enjoyed a hike in the nearby Bender Mountain Nature Preserve. Although part of the group got lost, we all enjoyed the beauty of creation on such a lovely, fall day!
