The Landscape Horticulture Programs at Cincinnati State offer hands-on training in modern horticultural and agricultural practices. Our students plant, prune and climb trees; build patios and walls; operate skid steer loaders and tractors. They cultivate, grow, and harvest tasty crops. They perf

orm commercial turf care. Our nationally accredited degrees and certificates lead to positions in all aspects of the green industry, from urban agriculture to landscape design to golf course management. Our graduates strive to solve major issues facing our world today, one garden at a time. They are stewards for our environment, and advocates for a better life for all. They are scientists, artists, environmentalists, educators, innovators, entrepreneurs, healers, and leaders. Love the theater? What about a play based on horticulture??? 🌱 Message below shared from alumnus Robyn Novak- (We are so incredibly proud of all the wonderful things our graduates are doing to bring botany and horticulture back into society and current culture. Way to go, Robyn!🌱🌱🌱)

Hi Hort friends! It's Robyn (class of '24!). I wrote a play about plant adaptations and the lessons we can learn from them as we face the climate crisis. It's running right now at the Cincy Fringe Festival!

Yesterday my botany class was exploring spring blooms and early fruit production on campus. We came across a humble euonymus shrub and peering into a small opening, we found a perfect nest with robin's blue eggs! We discussed the importance of not disturbing the nest, but to always keep your eyes open for surprises. You never know what you may find🪺✨️
