👏 We’re proud to celebrate the work of Marie Rose Tsh*te, a Political Science doctoral student in the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Cincinnati, whose research honoring Congolese women and their contributions to peacebuilding was recently recognized in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

On August 6, DRC Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka attended an event featuring Marie Rose’s research and her work with Congolese women who participated in the Inter-Congolese Dialogue.

The Prime Minister unveiled the Stèle de la Paix, a monument Marie Rose produced during her MA that features the names of Congolese women who participated in the Dialogue. She also viewed two documentary films Marie Rose directed about their work for peace and gender parity and presented certificates of recognition to women Marie Rose has interviewed and worked with over the past five years — women who are also the focus of her PhD dissertation.

Congratulations, Marie Rose, on this meaningful recognition of your scholarship and the women whose stories you are helping bring forward.
