Amanda LeCroy Named New
Athletic Director at Cisco College

Coach Amanda LeCroy has been named the new Athletic Director at Cisco College. Her promotion was approved at the college’s Board of Regents’ meeting on May 18.
She will continue to serve as Head Coach of the Women’s Cross Country Team as well. For the past year she had also served as Assistant Athletic Director to Dr. Jerry Dodson who retired in May.
“My time working with Dr. Dodson allowed me to gain valuable experience and insight that I know will benefit me in this new position,” LeCroy said. “I am thankful for the preparation I received along the way.”
She is believed to be the first female Athletic Director at the college. “It is truly an honor and I am excited about the opportunity.”
Her new duties will involve overseeing all aspects of the athletic department, including budgeting, personnel, compliance, facilities, and supporting coaches and student-athletes.
“While my responsibilities have expanded, I do plan to continue building our cross-country program. Coaching has always been a passion of mine, and I look forward to continuing to invest in those student-athletes while serving in this new leadership role.”
Amanda LeCroy is married to Head Softball Coach Cody LeCroy. They have a 2-year-old daughter, Dakota, who can often be seen at athletic games at the Cisco campus.
Coach Amanda said her husband is her biggest supporter. “At the end of the day, we’re a team both at home and at work, and we’re both committed to doing what’s best for Cisco College and our student-athletes.”
A native of Marble Falls, Coach LeCroy graduated from the high school there before receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Major Sports and Leisure from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls in 2017. At Midwestern, she was an all-conference catcher.
In 2019, she received a Master of Science degree in Sports Administration, also from Midwestern.
She coached five years of college softball at Midwestern and then coached at public schools in Evant before becoming Head Softball Coach at Jonesboro High School, leading her team to the state championship.
The first year that her husband coached at Cisco College, she taught second grade in Eastland for a year before starting her CC coaching job in 2024.
Her priority this summer will be “ensuring a smooth transition into this new role while preparing our programs for the upcoming year. I want to make sure our coaches and student-athletes have the support and resources they need to be successful and continue building on the strong foundation already in place.”
“I am incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity,” she said. “Cisco College has become home to my family and me. It is an honor to step into this role, and I am eager to continue supporting our coaches, student-athletes, and programs as we work toward continued success.”
She plans to continue building a department "that our student-athletes, coaches, and community are proud of. I want to create an environment where students thrive academically, compete at a high level, and leave Cisco College prepared for success beyond athletics.”
