Scripps College Academy (SCA) is a free, year-round college access program for high-achieving young women in the greater Los Angeles area. Through mentorship from Scripps College faculty and staff, participants develop the confidence and skills to be well prepared college applicants, successful college students, and professionals who create positive, lasting change.

SCA is a free college access program that supports students through a summer residential experience, year-round workshops, and real mentorship from college students who’ve been there. You’ll get guidance with college and financial aid applications, build academic confidence, and learn what college life actually looks like - not just what people say it’s like.
You’ll don’t need to have everything planned. You don’t need to know every answer. If college is something you’re curious about, even a little, this program was built for you💚

Last weekend, our SCA STEAM scholars presented their research projects mentored by the faculty and student teaching assistants of the Department of Natural Sciences of Pitzer and Scripps Colleges. They explored topics in the physiology of hearing all the way to the effects of pH in fabric dyeing. Congratulations to our SCA STEAM scholars, we are so proud of you all!
