Rogers State University is hosting a series of events for Weight Stigma Awareness Week, bringing students and community members together to discuss body acceptance, weight stigma and meaningful change.

The events include a panel discussion with WSAW co-founders Oliver-Pyatt and Chevese Turner on Sept. 8, followed by an interactive workshop with Sophia Apostol on Sept. 9.

Rogers State University’s Claremore, Pryor and Bartlesville campuses will close Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Campus will be closed during this time, including all of the university’s business offices.

RSU Dining Services for the Claremore campus will remain open on Labor Day, with adjusted hours. For Monday, Sept. 7, Chapman Dining Hall will serve brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Hillcat Hut along with the Hilltop Coffee Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then again from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

University offices will reopen and resume regular hours of operation beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Big news for Rogers State University!

RSU has been approved to offer Oklahoma’s first three-year bachelor’s degree at a regional university. The new Workforce Development degree will prepare students for high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, cybersecurity, and digital forensics.
