Today we celebrate the one-year anniversary of Dr. Don Raleigh’s first day as Rogers State University’s third president and Mrs. Angela Raleigh’s first year as RSU’s First Lady.

Over the past year, their leadership has helped advance new academic programs, campus improvements, and the “Every Hillcat, Every Day” initiative.

RSU’s Department of Technology and Justice Studies held classes with attendees of Oklahoma American Legion Boys State this week where the students designed, built, and flew drones and also worked with robots. The Boys Staters experienced RSU’s innovative STEM education options firsthand on the university’s Claremore campus.

Thank you to Boys State for another great week on the Hill. We are always excited to host “The Week That Shapes a Lifetime.”

Nearly 100 nurse educators gathered at Rogers State University for the inaugural “Equipping Nurse Educators” conference, focused on emotional resilience, innovation, and strengthening the future healthcare workforce.

“This event, hosted by RSU’s School of Nursing and Health Professions in partnership with Saint Francis Health System, is the first of its kind,” said MSN Coordinator and Assistant Professor Amber Sanchez, PhD, BBA, RN, CNE. “The conference was created to support nurse educators, clinical instructors, and academic leaders, as they navigate the rapidly changing landscape of nursing education and workforce development.”

Rogers State University, in coordination with Our Blood Institute, will host a university-wide blood drive Wednesday, June 3.

Slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the blood drive will be held in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center upstairs in Conference Rooms B and C on the RSU Claremore campus.

All donors will receive an exclusive celebration T-shirt and a ticket to a theme park while supplies last.
All RSU administration, faculty, staff and students are invited, as well as members of the public. Walk-ins are welcome. Photo ID is required.

Senior members of Rogers State University’s President’s Leadership Class recently completed the restoration of the outdoor amphitheater in the Education Nature Reserve on the RSU campus in Claremore. After months of hard work repairing and repainting benches and restoring the space, the amphitheater hosted its first performance in more than a decade this spring.
