On May 4th, the Department of Communication hosted its annual Senior Awards Night! Many were honored, and we are so thankful for the students, faculty, and staff- and the way that they pour into each other- who make our department great!!

The 2026 COMM Awards Night ended with a special award celebrating Dr. Rob Baron, as he is transitioning from the head of our department to associate dean of the College of Arts & Letters at Austin Peay State University! His seven years of leadership deserves the utmost recognition and thanks, and we wish him well in his new role!

APSU Broadcast Media and Sports COMM students and faculty presented at the annual BEA conference in Las Vegas! Their presentation was titled “Blurring boundaries: Integrating Sports, Broadcasting, and Journalism with AI skills.”
The two presenting students were Alexis Hill and Jazmin Logan. Faculty presenters included David Ellison, Barry Gresham, and Kathy Heuston. Check out the pics below!
