Meet our 2026 Dixon Global Policy Scholars (GPS)! 🌍

These scholars kicked off the program earlier this month, heading to Europe for a study abroad experience. They visited key landmarks, met with academics and government officials and examined different international approaches to remembering past events.

The Dixon GPS program is designed for students to explore global policy issues. Over the next two to three years, these students will explore global concepts through coursework and faculty-guided research before developing their own policy proposals.

The program is open to students of all majors. The 2026 cohort includes students from: Clemson University College of Science , Clemson University's College of Agriculture, Forestry & Life Sciences , Clemson University College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences and College of Arts and Humanities at Clemson University .

Students in Eliza Gallagher’s Honors courses don’t just learn mathematics. They create puzzles, test ideas and conduct research that extends beyond the classroom. Gallagher's student-centered approach to teaching and mentorship has earned her the 2026 Douglas W. Bradbury Award! 👏

Presented each year by the Clemson University Honors College, this award recognizes a faculty member who has made sustained and meaningful contributions to the Honors College and its students. Honors faculty, staff and students all attested to Gallagher's ability to foster meaningful connections across disciplines and graduating classes. Congratulations Dr. Gallagher!

Meet Walker Green: CATbus driver with City of Clemson, Lyceum Scholar at the Snow Institute for the Study of Capitalism and Class of 2026 Honors mechanical engineering graduate! 🎓

Now preparing for law school, Walker has embodied intellectual curiosity. He chose to study both mechanical engineering and political and legal theory to diversify his ways of understanding the world. Walker has also been an active participant in the Lyceum Scholars program, a three-time intern on Capitol Hill and a fan-favorite driver of the CATbus.

For Walker, it all comes back to helping people. After graduation he plans to work as a George Mason University Police Officer before attending law school and pursuing a career in criminal law. Congratulations, Walker!
