This week’s , we’re featuring Tessa Signor, who recently returned from Semester at Sea Voyage 137! 🌎 During her semester abroad, Tessa traveled the world, experienced new cultures, stepped outside of her comfort zone, and made memories that will last a lifetime. We are so excited to welcome her back to Clemson and hear all about her adventures!

Here’s what Tessa had to say about her experience:

“Hi y’all! My name is Tessa Signor and I was blessed with the opportunity to spend the last semester sailing with Semester at Sea, a study abroad program that allows students to live and learn on a ship traveling from Thailand to Germany, stopping in 10 countries along the way.

I was able to step out of my comfort zone and explore so many new places. Along the way, I met the most incredible people, learned many life lessons, and made amazing memories. I hiked mountains, tried new foods, saw all kinds of animals, jumped out of a plane, and visited my first world wonder. From kayaking in Vietnam, to visiting the Taj Mahal in India, to riding camels in Morocco, I am coming home a changed and better person.

I loved making friends from all over the world, and I now feel that I have a home wherever I go, but I missed the sisterhood that I have in Alpha Phi. How lucky am I to have a group of girls that I have missed so dearly! I can’t wait to come back to Clemson and share my experiences with all of my sisters!! 🩷🩷🩷”

This we are introducing our very own VP of Marketing ! Caroline is a Graphic Communications major in PC ‘24 from Florence, SC. She is all things sweet and is so dedicated to our marketing and chapter! Hear from Caroline about how this role has shaped her and how Alpha Phi has been the highlight of her Clemson Experience!

“Coming into college I knew Greek life was something I wanted to be apart of but I never truly could imagine how much it would change my life. This chapter has given me some of the most meaningful friendships, memories, and opportunities of my life, and I truly cannot imagine my college experience without it.

Serving as VP of Marketing this past year was something that challenged me, inspired me, and helped me grow so much as both a leader and a person. One of my favorite parts of this position is getting to showcase the women who make Clemson Alpha Phi so special. Behind every photo, video, event, and post are the friendships, support, and love that make this chapter feel like home. It’s so much more than just marketing to me it’s telling the story of a sisterhood that has genuinely changed my life.

Alpha Phi has pushed me outside of my comfort zone, helped me grow in confidence, and surrounded me with women who constantly encourage me to be the best version of myself. The relationships I’ve built here are ones I know I’ll carry with me long after college, and I’m forever thankful for every person who has made this chapter what it is.

This we are highlighting recent Alpha Phi alum and past Chapter President ! Lily was a member of PC ‘23 and is from a small town outside of Chicago, IL. She truly exemplified excellence across the board throughout her time as an active member in Alpha Phi and within all of her studies as a nursing major. Lily was recently awarded with a certificate of excellence in nursing and was the student nurse representative of her cohort for the past 4 years. Lily now plans on working in the Cardiac ICU in August! Hear from Lily about how she balanced being involved in Greek Life while being a nursing major!

“No matter what your major is, I would recommend Greek life to anyone. Sororities bring girls together and form great friendships. It is simply an experience that cannot be missed! I am so grateful to have met girls in aphi that were also in nursing. We were really there for each other these past 4 years. My advice to incoming nursing students: organization. I lived by my calendar. It is also so important to start off strong! I loved taking notes on my iPad using the Goodnotes app. Those first classes go towards your GPA. Of course school has to come first, but you have to have some fun too, being well rounded is key!

P.S. if they offer patho in the summer, take it!! Patho and pharm in the same semester is tough. Doable, but tough. Also if you are coming in with AP chemistry credit, you might still want to take chem at Clemson if you plan to further your education after college.” -Lily Rogers

This meet Eva Gee our Vice President of Member Experience in PC ‘23. Eva is an English major from Farmville, VA. Hear about how Alpha Phi supported her through her adjustment to college as an out-of-state student missing home.

“As an out of state student, knowing no one but girls I met on Instagram, coming to Clemson was super intimidating. I always knew I wanted to rush, but I had no idea the impact that it would have on me. Alpha Phi immediately took away all of my homesickness, as every girl welcomed me with open arms. Joining has been the best decision that I have ever made.

As a member, I have met my best friends and future bridesmaids. All of the girls in Alpha Phi are kind, loving, and truly genuine. This sisterhood never fails to make me smile.

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to give back to the chapter that has given so much to me. As the VP of Member Experience, I have had the opportunity to do just that. I am truly living the dream. I am so grateful to be supported by such amazing women alongside me on my executive board.

I love Iota Rho with all of my heart🤭
