Pearce Center for Professional Communication at Clemson University. The Pearce Center was endowed by the late Roy Pearce (Class of ‘41) and his wife Marnie in order to improve the communication skills of Clemson students. The Center oversees Clemson’s award-winning programs in Writing Across the Curriculum and Writing in the Disciplines. Our current programs include client-based advanced writing,
which pairs classes of primarily business and technical writing students with university departments and community groups. We’re also very excited to be launching a new pilot program in the fall of 2012, Clemson Writing Fellows, in which a number of our top students will serve as writing tutors in freshman and sophomore honors seminars. We welcome all faculty and students to visit us in the Class of 1941 Studio for Student Communication (Daniel Hall), which houses Pearce Center initiatives.
