Clemson University School of Computing The School has three primary academic divisions: computer science, visual computing, and human-centered computing.

Clemson’s School of Computing was formed from the Department of Computer Science in 2007 with a vision to be a national leader in the definition and advancement of emerging academic fields in computing through the development of successful divisions that integrate computation with the arts, sciences, and engineering. The School of Computing is key to the College of Engineering and Science’s missio

n of preparing students for all aspects of computing and as part of a university wide emphasis on information technology and high performance computing. We provide a diverse and rich educational environment in many areas of computing while also maintaining nationally prominent research programs in selected focus areas.

🎮 Build a video game this summer — for FREE!
The Clemson School of Computing invites high school students on the autism spectrum to join the 5th annual EdASE Summer Camp (Educating Autistic Software Engineers), funded by the National Science Foundation!

Over three weeks, campers dive into high-level video game design and software development while building real teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills — the kind that launch careers in computer science. It's fully virtual, so students can join from anywhere, and they'll network with peers who share their passion for coding and games.

Competing in the world’s largest quantum hackathon, these students tackled real-world quantum computing challenges alongside teams from around the globe. With guidance from faculty advisor Dr. Rong Ge, these students demonstrated innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence in quantum computing—an emerging field shaping the future of technology.
We’re incredibly proud of our School of Computing Tigers for representing Clemson and leading the way into the quantum workforce! 🐅⚛️
