TONIGHT @ 7 p.m.: Dr. Joe Kickasola, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Baylor University, is returning to Lee to speak about the relationship between faith and the arts. He will give a lecture titled "Flesh, Faith, and Frame: Embodied Christian Aesthetics and the Cinema.” In his lecture, Kickasola will explore the relationship between film viewing and spiritual formation; in doing this, he argues that film is an active, embodied, simulative, and multisensory event.

Snell Lecture Series wraps up tonight with Dr. Musumeci, UTC's Director of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity, discuss “The Influence of Classical Ideas and Texts on the Sculpture and Poetry of Michelangelo Buonarotti." Come EXPAND your mind tonight!
- - - Dr. Musumeci received his Ph.D. from Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London. "He is a socio-cultural historian with an interest in the material and visual cultures of Europe between 1300 and 1600. His research deals primarily with consumable goods (esp. food and wine), medieval and early modern gift exchange, the social imagination in medieval and Renaissance Italy, and the intersection of history, art, literature, and philosophy during the medieval and early modern periods."
