On June 28, 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a law making the first Monday in September of each year a national holiday. Because our main campus is located in CLEVELAND, we are more than happy to honor the tradition by giving staff, faculty, and students the day off on Monday, September 7. We also celebrate the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and economic vitality. Enjoy Labor Day! Thank you to all the students who attended today's Resource Carnival. You learned about campus clubs, activities, and resources. You met our passionate staff and faculty. You played games, won prizes, and even picked up some Lakeshore SWAG. You selected lunch from an array of food trucks. We appreciate your interest and loved getting to know you all a little better. Although Lakeshore College has flexible and convenient start dates, August 31 is considered the first day of Fall Term. Today, students met their instructors, explored campus, reunited with friends, and continued their academic journey.
